Claudia joined the Metropolitan Police in August 2024 and currently works full-time as a Witness Care Officer. This role aligns perfectly with her passions for justice, equality, and public service. Recently, she was appointed as the new Chairperson of the Met Police Staff. Claudia holds a law degree and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Government, Policy, and Politics, demonstrating her intellectual curiosity and commitment to learning.
In addition to her work, she actively advocates for positive change through dedicated and collaborative leadership. Claudia proudly serves as a UN Women UK Delegate, promoting gender equality and inclusive governance on a global scale. Claudia joined the Governing Board in 2025 as a Co-opted Governor. As the Vice Chair of Leopold Primary School, she aims to contribute to education and support the community, leading by example

Zac Newman has been a governor at Leopold since 2017. Zac is a former secondary school teacher who now teaches mindfulness meditation in the UK and internationally. Zac is delighted to continue his long-standing connection with the school, and to witness and contribute to the Leopold journey of learning and excellence and care.

Lauren Haringman is a supply and logistics professional currently working in a strategic role at the retail group Kingfisher PLC. Lauren is married and lives in the borough of Brent with her husband and rescue cat Miso. She was appointed as a co-opted governor at Leopold September 2020, sitting on the Finance and Premises committee.

Tom is currently finishing up his studies before commencing a training contract at an international law firm at the beginning of 2021. Before moving to London, he taught at a large primary school in East Kent for 4 years. He sits on the Curriculum, Standards and Personnel committee and focuses on the school’s SEND and Pupil Premium provision

Roopdai (Shanta) Hossanah is our staff governor. She came to the UK from Georgetown, Guyana in 2002 and gained her British citizenship. She currently lives in Neasden with her husband of over 20 years.
Shanta comes from a large family of five siblings; four brothers and one sister. She has two sons of her own - Neville and Sylvester. She also has two grandsons, Michale and Josh aged 13 and 11, that all live in Gyana.
Coming to England was a great experience for Shanta, although it was challenging in the beginning adapting to her new surroundings. She finds herself feeling at home and a part of the community. She has worked for Leopold for 8 years and loves her job and working with the children.
AINOUR SALEH

Ainour is a co-opted governor at Leopold Primary School. She is also an Assistant Headteacher at a local primary school. She grew up in Kent, went to University in Nottingham and started her primary education teaching career in East London. She started her teaching career in 2016 and has loved being in education for the last 9 years. Ainour has taught in schools of varying sizes from a one form entry school to a three-form entry school. She started her senior leadership career in a faith school and has held varying roles from Assistant Headship roles and a Deputy Headship role. She specialises in many roles and has a deep passion for English, EYFS and Teaching and Learning. She is extremely passionate that we give our children the best opportunities to learn so that they can achieve the highest they possible can and go onto compete for the best universities and careers possible.
Ainour enjoys going to the theatre, learning languages, swimming, reading and joining the local choir in her free time. As an avid traveller, she has worked previously as a TEFL teacher in Azerbaijan, Austria, Japan, Germany, Italy and Libya.
